Preparing for Sculptra^®
Avoid taking aspirin or any products that can thin the blood. You may have bruising at the site of injection if you take blood thinners or if you are a smoker. If you exercise regularly, you may wish not to do so before attending your injection session, as strenuous exercise may increase swelling in the injection area. You should also discontinue taking herbal supplements including vitamin E, fish oil, and ginkgo biloba at least 1-2 weeks before the procedure.

Sculptra^® Recovery
You will have little, if any, downtime from a Sculptra^® injection. If you bruise easily, it can take 7-10 days for the bruise to go away. As with many dermal fillers, there is no limitation to your activities or schedule after having a Sculptra^® treatment. Typically, patients who have Sculptra^® may feel a little swelling, tenderness, or bumps at the injection site. These will diminish quickly.
