Preparing for Male Breast Reduction
During the procedure, local anesthetic will be used to numb the affected area. Twilight sedation through intravenous application is also available for those patients who wish to have it. Small incisions are made around the curvature of the breasts and excess tissue is removed. The breast is then sutured back into place. In cases where excess fat is causing the enlargement of the breasts, liposuction may be used to remove this fatty tissue and excess skin may be removed to promote a more natural male chest appearance.
