Preparing for Nipple Reduction
If you are a smoker, you should stop or reduce smoking before your surgery for at least two weeks and avoid drinking alcohol for at least one week to help improve and speed recovery. Certain supplements, including vitamin E, Omega fish oil, and aspirin (or products containing aspirin) should be discontinued after speaking with your physician as they may increase bleeding and affect recovery.

You will likely be able to return to work within a day or two after the surgery. Any bruising should subside within a few days, while numbness should disappear within a week. Some patients experience numbness or tingling in the nipple which should subside within six weeks.
